TIE-aligned, ready to download and personalise for your school term.
This Form One Agriculture scheme of work follows the competence-based planning format set out by the Tanzania Institute of Education (TIE) for the new curriculum. It is a starting point: add your school name and term dates, and adjust pacing for holidays and school events before submitting it to your head of department.
Every row of the scheme carries the same column set: Main Competence, Specific Competence, Learning Activities, Specific Activities, Month, Week, Periods, Reference, Teaching and Learning Methods, Teaching and Learning Resources, Assessment Tools and Remarks. The Remarks column is used for examination dates and school breaks.
Agriculture is planned mostly at 2–3 periods per week for major units across the academic year.
Methods include demonstration, field practicals, project work, group discussion and inquiry-based learning. Resources include farm tools, seeds, soil samples, charts and textbooks. Assessment combines quizzes, tests, project work, class presentation and portfolio.
Below is a short extract in the official column format, based on the official 2026 Form One Agriculture scheme. The full download follows the same layout week by week across the year, including mid-term and terminal examinations and school holidays.
