TIE-aligned, ready to download and personalise for your school term.
This Form One Bible Knowledge scheme of work follows the competence-based planning format set out by the Tanzania Institute of Education (TIE) for the new curriculum. It is a starting point: add your school name and term dates, and adjust pacing for holidays and school events before submitting it to your head of department.
Every row of the scheme carries the same column set: Main Competence, Specific Competence, Learning Activities, Specific Activities, Month, Week, Periods, Reference, Teaching and Learning Methods, Teaching and Learning Resources, Assessment Tools and Remarks. The Remarks column is used for examination dates and school breaks.
Bible Knowledge is planned at 2 periods per week throughout the year.
Methods include case studies, group discussions, class discussions, brainstorming, guest speakers, jigsaw puzzle, debate and exploration. Resources include the Bible, biblical videos, relevant biblical texts and commentaries. Assessment combines quizzes, questions and answers, group work, class presentation, flash cards and project work.
Below is a short extract in the official column format, taken directly from the official 2026 Bible Knowledge scheme. The full download follows the same layout week by week across the year, including mid-term and terminal examinations and school holidays.
