This Form Two Biology scheme of work follows the competency-based planning format set out by the Tanzania Institute of Education (TIE). It covers nutrition in humans and ruminants, transport in plants and in the human body, gaseous exchange and respiration, followed by practical investigations (food nutrients, transport in plants, pulse rate, aerobic and anaerobic respiration) and report writing. Add your school name and term dates, and adjust pacing for holidays and school events before submitting it to your head of department.
Biology is planned at three periods per teaching week. Across the year the scheme runs to roughly 93 periods, with weeks left free for mid-term, terminal and national examinations and school breaks.
