This Form Two Chemistry scheme of work follows the competency-based planning format set out by the Tanzania Institute of Education (TIE) for the new curriculum. It sequences the year from atomic structure through chemical bonding and reactions, then acids, bases and salts, the periodic table, and finally practical work with locally made indicators. Add your school name and term dates, and adjust pacing for holidays and school events before submitting it to your head of department.
Chemistry is planned at three periods per teaching week for most topics. Across the year the scheme runs to roughly 90 periods, with weeks left free for mid-term, terminal and national examinations and school breaks.
