About this scheme

This Form Five Chemistry scheme of work follows the competence-based planning format set out by the Tanzania Institute of Education (TIE) for the Advanced Level curriculum. It is a starting point: add your school name and term dates, and adjust pacing for holidays and school events before submitting it to your head of department.

What the scheme contains

Every row of the scheme carries the same column set: Main Competence, Specific Competence, Learning Activities, Specific Activities, Month, Week, Periods, Reference, Teaching and Learning Methods, Teaching and Learning Resources, Assessment Tools and Remarks. The Remarks column is used for examination dates and school breaks.

Competences covered

Period allocation
